Job Boardly vs WP Job Manager: what you pay and to whom
Job Boardly Standard is $60 a month, billed monthly, or $40 a month, billed annually, with hosting included. WP Job Manager's core plugin is free, but you host it, and its paid listings add-on is $49 a year for one site, as read on October 31, 2026. The core is free; hosting and the add-ons are not, paid listings also need WooCommerce, and no hosting price is printed here.

Try Job Boardly →Hosting and upkeep: run by the vendor or by you
Job Boardly is hosted software: the vendor runs it for a subscription, and its About page says the platform handles hosting, maintenance and integrations. The board runs on your own domain or a subdomain such as jobs.yoursite.com, with HTTPS included.
WP Job Manager is a plugin: it adds job board functions to a WordPress site you run and host yourself. WordPress.org lists WordPress 6.4 or higher and PHP 7.4 or higher as requirements and shows 70,000+ active installations. Automattic makes the plugin. Add-on support and updates run for a year from purchase.
Paid listings: Stripe Checkout against WooCommerce
Job Boardly takes employer payments through Stripe Checkout into your own Stripe account. Paid posts, packages and the candidate paywall (paid access for job seekers) are on every plan, and employer subscriptions start on Pro.
On WordPress, paid listings come from the WC Paid Listings add-on, which requires the WooCommerce plugin. It sells Job Package products that let an employer post a set number of jobs before the package expires. Buyers must register at WooCommerce checkout; guest purchases are not allowed. Subscription packages need a further extension, WooCommerce Subscriptions, whose price is not printed here.
Listings and job alerts
Job Boardly adds listings itself. Its Job Backfiller connects to a database that Job Boardly says holds roughly 12 million active listings, filtered by title, keyword, industry and location. Standard allows 1,000 job imports a month, and weekly job alert emails are on every plan.
On WordPress, employers add listings through front-end forms in the free core, which marks jobs up so Google can read them. The core shows RSS links for job seekers; email alerts come from a paid extension, Job Alerts, which sits in the Pro Bundle.
Running both: a hosted board beside WordPress
The two are not exclusive. Job Boardly says its board runs on jobs.yoursite.com and works alongside WordPress, so a WordPress site can keep its pages and send job seekers to a hosted board. The core plugin is free to install, and its add-ons carry a 14-day refund.
Pick Job Boardly to skip hosting and get backfilled listings and a paywall on one subscription. Pick WP Job Manager when the board belongs inside a WordPress site you already run and you can add WooCommerce for paid listings.
