Field noteWho Job Board Desk is for
Job Board Desk is an independent guide for people who want to run a niche job board: association, newsletter and community owners, agencies and solo builders. It asks which platform fits one profession or place, what each plan's limits allow, how a board earns and how to start one. Everything here is read from vendor pages, feature pages and terms, plus Google's job posting rules and the FTC's endorsement guides, dated October 31, 2026. Start with the Job Boardly pricing guide or go straight to the seven steps to start a board.
Field noteWhere Job Boardly fits and where it does not
Job Boardly is hosted, no-code job board software on your own domain, with three plans sized by team seats, active jobs and monthly imports. It can suit a founder who wants backfilled listings, paid postings and a paywall without code. It is Stripe-first, its paywall needs care with Google's job rules, and larger or association boards may prefer a sales-led route. The review covers the limits, and Job Boardly vs Niceboard sets it beside a platform with a sales-led tier.
Field noteCheck the meter before you pay for a platform
Platforms count different things: active jobs, imported jobs, import runs, job seeker accounts or resume parsings. The same board produces a different number under each. The best job board software guide sorts six tools by how they are sold and what they meter, and what is Job Boardly explains the lead platform.
Field noteHow these pages are sourced
Plan facts come from each vendor's own pages and are dated, because plans, limits and terms change. Where a vendor page is silent, the guide says the page does not state it. Customer counts and testimonials are the vendors' own claims and are labeled that way, in line with the FTC's endorsement guides. Amounts stay on the vendors' live pages and are not repeated here. Google's job posting documentation shapes the set-up advice. This is not legal or tax advice, and results depend on your own board.
