WP Job Manager alternatives: four hosted job board options

Last reviewed October 31, 2026

Quick answerLeaving WP Job Manager trades hosting work for a monthly fee: Job Boardly has the lowest entry price of the four, JBoard four public tiers, Niceboard an association route and JobBoard.io PayPal checkout.

WP Job Manager alternatives by entry plan

The WP Job Manager alternatives priced here are four hosted platforms: Job Boardly, JBoard, Niceboard and JobBoard.io. Job Boardly Standard has the lowest entry price, at $60 a month billed monthly or $40 a month billed annually, as read on October 31, 2026. The plugin route costs a different way: a free core, yearly add-ons, and hosting you buy yourself.

What a hosted platform replaces: hosting, WooCommerce and renewals

A WordPress board has no platform fee for the core plugin, but a paid board adds parts. Paid listings need the WooCommerce plugin plus WC Paid Listings, at $49 a year for one site (a Personal license, two activations: live and staging) or $109 a year for unlimited sites. Support and updates run a year from purchase. Employers must register to buy a package, subscription packages need a further WooCommerce extension, and email job alerts are another paid extension.

Hosting, WooCommerce and payment fees are not priced in any figure here, so the plugin route has a yearly add-on cost and no monthly platform fee to divide into postings. For a hosted plan with monthly fee P, paid postings times N, what one posting nets after Stripe's fee, must reach P.

At an assumed N of $100, an illustration and not a forecast, the fee, billed monthly, takes 1 paid posting a month on Job Boardly Standard ($60), 2 on JBoard Basic ($149), 4 on Niceboard Core ($399) and 5 on JobBoard.io Basic ($449).

Job Boardly: backfill, paid posts and a paywall with no plugin

Job Boardly runs on your own domain or a subdomain such as jobs.yoursite.com, with HTTPS included, and says it works alongside WordPress. Paid posts, packages, the candidate paywall and the Job Backfiller (its tool for adding outside listings) come with every plan, with payments going to your own Stripe account; employer subscriptions start on Pro.

Its 14-day free trial lets a WordPress owner build the hosted board on a subdomain before paying: a card is needed to start and nothing is charged until the trial ends. See Job Boardly vs WP Job Manager and how to create a job board on WordPress.

JBoard, Niceboard and JobBoard.io

JBoard includes fully managed cloud hosting in every plan, and Niceboard includes cloud-based hosting in all plans. Niceboard suggests connecting a subdomain and linking back to it from your main site, and it sells through Stripe only for now. JobBoard.io hosts the board and takes Stripe or PayPal at checkout. JBoard has four public tiers.

When to stay on WP Job Manager

Stay on WP Job Manager when the board belongs on your own WordPress site. The core plugin is free, WordPress.org shows 70,000+ active installations, and employer submission forms and job listings readable by Google are in the core. None of the four hosted options has a free plan, and each bills by the month or the year instead of selling add-ons by the year. For plugin options, read the best WordPress job board plugin page.
