Job board software cost at three board sizes
A small niche board of 1,000 active jobs and 2 team members costs $40 a month on Job Boardly Standard billed annually ($480 a year), as read on October 31, 2026. The same board needs JBoard Standard at $199 a month billed annually or Niceboard Core at $319 a month billed annually. The table covers three board sizes on both billing bases.
| Board size | Job Boardly | JBoard | Niceboard |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small: 1,000 active jobs, 2 team members | Standard: $60 a month billed monthly; $40 a month billed annually | Standard: $249 a month billed monthly; $199 a month billed annually | Core: $399 a month billed monthly; $319 a month billed annually |
| Growing: 5,000 active jobs, 5 team members | Pro: $120 a month billed monthly; $80 a month billed annually | Advanced: $449 a month billed monthly; $359 a month billed annually | Advanced: $599 a month billed monthly; $479 a month billed annually |
| Large: 20,000 active jobs, 10 team members | Ultra: $240 a month billed monthly; $160 a month billed annually | Scale: $849 a month billed monthly; $679 a month billed annually | Custom: by quote, no public price |

Try Job Boardly →How each size was matched to a plan
Each size takes the cheapest public tier whose active-jobs limit and team-member limit both cover it. JBoard Basic, with 1 team member, does not cover the small board, and Niceboard Core, with 2 team members, does not cover the growing one. At the large size only Niceboard's sales-led Custom tier fits, so it carries no price. JobBoard.io's nearest match is Professional at the small size, then Enterprise by quote.
Each vendor counts a different thing, so convert to your own numbers and compare no count with another vendor's. Best job board software shows how each tool is sold and metered.
What the plan fee leaves out: Stripe fees, tax, a domain and hosting
Every figure above is a plan fee. None includes a domain name, sales tax, Stripe's own fees on employer payments or, for a plugin, WordPress hosting. Stripe's own fees apply to the Stripe-based boards here, and this page prints no percentage.
On WordPress, the core plugin is free and WC Paid Listings is $49 a year on a Personal license (one site) or $109 a year on a Developer license (unlimited sites). Paid listings also need WooCommerce, which carries no price on this page.
Costs that grow with the board: import credits
Each Job Boardly plan includes a monthly allowance of job imports: 1,000 on Standard, 2,000 on Pro and 5,000 on Ultra. Beyond it, one credit imports one job. Credits come in packs of $12 for 1,000, $55 for 5,000 and $100 for 10,000, valid for 12 months and non-refundable. CSV imports are free on every plan.
A Standard board that imports 3,000 jobs in a month uses its 1,000 allowance plus 2,000 credits, which is two $12 blocks that month. Niceboard counts import runs and JBoard counts AI backfilled jobs, so neither prices against a Job Boardly credit.
Monthly or annual billing: the cash needed up front
Annual billing lowers the per-month rate and moves the cash forward. Job Boardly's annual plan is one payment of $480 on Standard, $960 on Pro or $1,920 on Ultra, because subscription fees are payable in advance. Job Boardly labels annual billing "Save 33%", Niceboard "Save 20%" and JBoard "20% off".
Pick JBoard at the larger sizes for resume parsing, which starts on its Advanced plan, or for SSO on Scale. Pick WP Job Manager when hosting is already paid for and a free core plugin will do. Job Boardly's trial needs a card and charges nothing until day 14 ends. Job Boardly pricing lists every limit by plan, and whether paid posts cover these fees is the question in are job boards profitable.
