Job board software for associations: five options by pricing model
For an association, the first choice is who handles employer payments. SmartJobBoard processes them and pays out non-dues revenue. Job Boardly, JBoard and Niceboard Core leave them with the association's own Stripe account, and WP Job Manager takes them through WooCommerce on the association's own site. Prices were read on October 31, 2026.
Take a professional association with 3,000 members that wants a branded career board where employers pay to post.
| Option | How it charges | Who handles employer payments | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| SmartJobBoard revenue share | Keeps a share; pays out non-dues revenue monthly | SmartJobBoard processes every employer payment | By quote; no amount on its pricing page |
| Niceboard Enterprise and Associations | Booked call; hybrid or revenue-share option | Core: your linked Stripe account | Core: $399 a month billed monthly; $319 a month billed annually |

Try Job Boardly →Revenue share: SmartJobBoard processes payments and pays out non-dues revenue
SmartJobBoard's Revenue Share route is aimed at professional and trade associations that charge employers to post jobs. SmartJobBoard processes every employer transaction and pays out the association's non-dues revenue, meaning revenue outside membership dues, each month. Its other route, Flat-Fee Subscription, is one annual price for the whole platform. SmartJobBoard prints no share, fee or amount for either, so both are by quote.
Both routes bring the same toolkit, including custom branding and hosting. The features page lists built-in Stripe and PayPal gateways and recurring billing for employers.
Niceboard's Enterprise and Associations route
Niceboard's pricing page lists an Enterprise and Associations route with a call booking, managed setup and a hybrid or revenue-share pricing option. Beside it, Core is self-serve at $399 a month billed monthly, with 5,000 active jobs, 25,000 job seeker accounts and 2 team members. Niceboard's FAQ says its plans are a flat subscription with no cut of your revenue, so the terms of the hybrid option come from the call.
Niceboard links your Stripe account for employer payments and supports Stripe only for now.
Self-serve on Stripe: Job Boardly and JBoard
On Job Boardly, paid posts, packages and a candidate paywall are on every plan, and employer subscriptions start on Pro. Standard allows 2 team members, 10,000 active jobs and 10,000 job alert subscribers. Even if all 3,000 members signed up for alerts, the association above would not reach that limit. Pro, $120 a month billed monthly or $80 a month billed annually, adds white label, which removes Job Boardly's name from the board.
Job Boardly's paywall page says most listings sit behind a subscription or one-time payment, while Google's job posting policy does not allow postings that need a login to see the description; read both before you gate any listings. Job Boardly's pricing page lists no association or nonprofit discount. The earning options are laid out in how do job boards make money.
JBoard Standard is where subscriptions and packages start, and JBoard says payments land in your own Stripe account.
A plugin on the association's own WordPress site
WP Job Manager runs on a WordPress site the association hosts. The core plugin is free, WooCommerce takes the employer payments, and WC Paid Listings is $49 a year on a Personal license for one site. Hosting and payment fees sit outside that price.
Which of the five options fits which association
- SmartJobBoard for an association that wants the vendor to process employer payments; SmartJobBoard alternatives lists public-price options.
- Niceboard for a booked call with a hybrid or revenue-share option; Job Boardly vs Niceboard sets Core beside Job Boardly.
- Job Boardly for a self-serve board with public prices and payments in the association's own Stripe account; its trial can be canceled at no cost before it ends.
- JBoard for the same self-serve model at a higher fee, WP Job Manager for an association on WordPress.
